In Touch asked its readers and it is all about Kellan Lutz! He got 68% of the vote while Taylor pulled in 30% and rob’s new abs only grabbed a dedicated 25 of the vote.
Robert Bulked Up (2%) – After landing the role of Edward Cullen, Robert Pattinson worked out hard to become “much more muscular than I’ve ever been,” he says.
Swimming Keeps Kellan Buff (68%) – “I loved so swim,” says Kellan Lutz, aka Emmett Cullen. But he also has a sweet tooth! “I eat so much chocolate and gummy bears,” he’s admitted.
Taylor Has Major Muscles (30%) – Taylor Lautner totally transformed his body to play werewolf Jacob Black. “I eat as much as possible and drink protein shakes,” he says.
Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed, however, are trying to quit smoking cigarettes!
As everyone knows, the cast of New Moon loves their cherished smoking breaks, but it’s not a great look to be showing off to their millions of fans around the World.
E! is reporting that the two are trying to become “better role models for their fans.”
A friend close to Nikki spills, “Everyone on the cast smokes, and they are all trying to quit because they are on Twilight and know they are in the public eye.”
The ladies “know they are role models for little kids,” says the pal. “If there are a ton of paparazzi photos of them smoking, that’s not a positive image.”
How are they kicking the habit, which is well-known to be pretty dang tough? SmokeStiks.
“SmokeStiks look like those fake cigarettes actors use in plays,” says a tester. “There’s no smoke; it just lights up when you puff.”
These bad boys don’t come cheap—almost $100 for the starter kit.
Just how does Twilight hottie Kellan Lutz manage to maintain his impressive physique while dealing with a hectic schedule? Celebuzz caught up with the guy who plays Emmett Cullen at the Young Hollywood Awards in Santa Monica, California, on Sunday and found out how he balances his travel obligations with his workout regimen. Or at least tries to. “It’s really frustrating for me because I’ve just been on way too many airplanes and I try to do those workout things on the airplane and everyone kind of got annoyed because maybe I was trying to workout and they’re like, ‘Argghh,’” Lutz reveals. “They have those pamphlets like so you do dips and then like lunges in the aisle,” notes Lutz. “I tried to do push-ups but the aisle wasn’t big enough.” Yeah, and the FAA definitely frowns upon passengers blocking the aisles these days. Maybe it’s time for a private jet?
was a ‘Twilight’ night at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards as the film’s cast, including Kellan Lutz, were on hand to pick up awards for their work in the teen vampire love story. On the red carpet, Lutz chatted up ‘New Moon’ and the new ‘Elm Street.’
So you’re totally done?
Kellan Lutz: “Yeah, I’m done with New Moon. I’m doing Nightmare on Elm Street right now.”
What happened on New Moon? Do we get to see more of you than we actually did in the book?
Kellan Lutz: “You’ll have to see. I had a lot of fun shooting that. It was so much fun. There’s a lot more of the Cullens in it, which was really nice. But we do stick pretty tight to the book.”
So how was Chris Weitz as a director?
Kellan Lutz: “Amazing. So chill. Being an actor in the second movie with all the weight off of your shoulders was really fun to look forward to. And then working with such a chill, mellow director – he was just so much fun to work with. So easygoing. And he had everything planned out so whenever we had a question as an actor, especially with our characters or the scene, he had answers right away.”
Was it easier this time becuase you do know what to expect, you know what the fans are going to be like?
Kellan Lutz: “Yeah. There was a lot of weight on our shoulders for the first one because we’re stepping in these shoes that the fans kind of envisioned their own person playing these roles. And for us to bring them to life and to hope and pray and cross our fingers that they approve, in a way, so we had the chance to do more movies and bring the books to life – it’s up to them. If they didn’t support us as much as they did, we wouldn’t be here doing New Moon.”
And you’re ready for the third one, right, in August?
Kellan Lutz: “I can’t wait.”
Have they shown you a script or antyhing yet?
Kellan Lutz: “No, no. It’s always on lock-down with Twilight.”
So you’re actually filming right now (on Nightmare)?
Kellan Lutz: “Yeah. I just go back from Chicago and going back right after the show.”
How’s that going?
Kellan Lutz: “It’s going really good. Really good. Like I’m really excited for it.”
And it’s not campy – it’s not a campy horror movie?
Kellan Lutz: “Not at all. Michael Bay’s a part of it.”
How do you make it not campy because kind of the whole series is like that?
Kellan Lutz: “You know what? Freddy Krueger is more of a psychological thriller so it was never really too campy at all because it’s not the slasher – it’s more internal.”
Were you a huge fan of the series before?
Kellan Lutz: “That’s the thing that scared me the most as far as horrors. Friday the 13th was scary and Chucky, but something about someone attacking you in your dreams, because you can’t do anything… It was like, ‘I don’t want to sleep.’”
Kellan Lutz, who is best known for playing Emmett Cullen in the 2008 film Twilight says that Robert Pattinson’s muscles are real. He has dismissed all rumours which stated make-up effects are used to enhance Robert physique in the Twilight sequel, New Moon.

“Taylor been training Rob a lot, and that’s why he’s got such ripped abs. Rob’s been working hard. He’s trying to be the best he can be.”.
In Twilight, Emmett Cullen is at first wary of Bella, but eventually warms up to her. He often teases her for her clumsiness and constant blushing, and votes in favor of her becoming a vampire in New Moon
While basically the whole Twilight cast was busy at the MTV Movie Awards cleaning up shop, there were a couple of castmembers noticeably absent. Jackson Rathbone wasn’t there because he was doing his music thing, but where was Nikki Reed? You’d think the self-professed jobless gal would have jumped at the chance to fit the awards show into her schedule.
Unless there were bigger names who didn’t want her there. Or maybe Nik just preferred to keep taking the quasi-high road and stay out of the way of Robsten. Even though Ms. Reed claims she and Kristen Stewart are fine, actions (and passive aggressive PR moves) speak louder than words, babes!
Well, it seems like all the Rob-related tension has only been working in Ashley Greene’s favor.
